So who's downloaded the Beta of Office 2007?

    I think it's awful, personally.
They've gone even further in their attempts to copy a mac.

Personally McA I like it, don't think it looks like a MAC at all.

Not really used all the functions, especially with Excel... which I use alot in work, but have given Word a bit of a bash and much prefer the menu layout of 2007 to that of Office 2003, alot more streamlined and logical as to the menu and functions.

I personally like the new layout, vice the old 2003 layout.

Waiting on the Vista rollout for the public.

I am using 2007. It is harder to use and it doesn't work with XP64. I have to shrink it to use my e-mail.

Me too on the layout, plus I had a play with it today... works extremely quickly on Vista vs XP, the template options are vastly superiour to Office 2003, in which now you have the built in templates plus Office online templates are viewable and easily downloadble through office 2007 opposed to having to trawl through the Office website.

Vista Beta2 5384 build will be released for pubilc DL sometime in June or to some who signed up a while back to the Beta Experience it maybe as soon as this coming week, watch out for emails with link to DL. ( I'm sufferening a driver issue again with the 64bit version, was fine two releases ago, last 64bit build was too big for a DVD5 disk so never got that one installed, I guess they have not updated the driver downloads site again fto cover some sound drivers.. so watch out for that one )

May try the 32bit 5384 build tomorrow to see if the 32bit driver support is ok, as its been perfect for me.

I guess it's just getting used to the new layout etc....but I still think it's Mac-a-like...

Look at the fonts used in the menus and the default font they've put for typing.

LMAO, I guess you just needed a few days to orientate yourself with the new menus?

I kinda like the new default font in Calibri but still prefer my own pref in default font in Verdana, you can change the default layout in what they now call Themes, click the Page Layout menu tab > Themes, you can either choose one of the preset ones or create and save your own theme ( with your own default font setting )

I cannot wait for all the threads we will get next year when Vista is out to the masses, over its different ways of doing things....

Yeh, like "how do I do this" lol.

My copy of Vista should be available soon as I subscribed to the newsletter ages ago, I'm sure I'll be giving you a shout :p
