    Hi Geeks,
Does any one know if this hard drives are good for a new build for win 7?

    WESTERN DIGITAL WD20EARS Caviar Green 2TB 64MB cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5"
    internal hard drive .

Was thinking of first mirroring my XP hard drive to save all preference and programs then installing it as my new drive on the new build and then upgrading to win 7. Am I wrong that I will be able to save my preferences and programs? I would buy a INEO 3.5" SATA H.D. to USB 2.0 +SATA combo interfa
INEO 3.5" SATA H.D. to USB 2.0 +SATA combo interface Enclosure to house the drive while backing up the XP drive then switching out it when I do the rebuild. And for that matter any advice on a good mobo Would be great as well I have been a AMD fan and have thought about their 4 core chip and thoughts, flames, or just plain comments?
Any advice would really be appreciated Thanks in advance
