Ah, but heat energy can travel through vacuum. It just can't heat it up, since vacuum is the absence of matter (mostly). Radiant heat energy is electromagnetic energy in the infrared frequency range.

Now you're down to nine gripes.

 

I hate it even more when the leave it down in the first place before using the toilet

 

1) Rude people

2) People with "old" money who think they are somehow smarter then everyone else, even though their great granddad made the dough and they themselves haven't worked a day in their lives. This is somewhat mitigated by the sad fact that the worse specimens of this ilk are really very sad souls and prone to suicide.

3) People who use old, prone, and specimen in the same paragraph

4) Days when you know a word is spelled right but it just LOOKS wrong - and you must finally drag out the Websters . . .

5) This little cooling fan in my external hard drive which makes a horrible whirring sound . . .

6) Manufacturers who make the little cooling fans in external hard drive enclosures very, very hard to unplug . . .

7) Static electricity . . . except when the cat decides to get your attention by licking you

8) Waking up and finding the aforementioned cat drinking out of my bedside water glass . . . ("This is the first time you've done this, right?").

9) Figuring out how to make a virtual CD drive on your computer, and your wife not thinking it's at all cool . . .

10) The aforementioned wife not understanding that, yes, we DO need more computer stuff . . .

 

Been away a while....man, this thread grew quick. Well...here goes.....

1. People who hijack others threads with meaningless drivel
2. People who post excessively and relentlessly, despite the fact they have nothing interesting to add to a thread
3. Finding the cat puked on the carpet when I get up in the morning
4. Intolerant and judgemental people

How about a thread for the top 10 things we love???? Fascinates me how so many of us posted that we hate whiners and then proceeded to whine about 20 things that get on our nerves
