I'm trying to figure out why my computer is so slow on startup. Of course it is a 751 mHz processor, with 320MB ram running xp. I looked at msconfig, there is an entry nvcpl, which I can't find info for. The full line reads:

    rundll32.exe c:\windows\system32\NvCpl.dll,NVStartup

    Any help would be appreciated.

Run CCleaner to see what's in startup. Have you added a new program just before this started? It wouldn't take much to slowdown the startup. If you added something that you don't always use, may as well start it up yourself instead of starting up at boot.
