For scanning and removal of malware, I'll go with SUPERAntiSpyware. The free version doesn't offer much real-time active protection, but it will remove some of the most stubborn spyware out there (like SpyFalcon and SpySherrif rogue-ware for example). I give it 5 stars.

Spybot is good as is RemoveItPro

 

i also use remove it, the older version, its very helpful, though it detects the mozilla firefox always as infected item. stopped using mozilla and switched to opera.gonna check out superantispyware.

 

I too recommend spybot s&d (it's what i use) you get realtime protection.
