What software can you use to record a video with a webcam?

I have a Logitech webcam and have tried using the software that came with it. The problem is, the Logitech software screws up settings in other software I use.

here is a link for a free to try(they put a water mark on your video) program! it works really well.

 

What kind of programs is it effecting? And by what means is it affecting?

Also I just want to point out we really don't like to post links to downloads/programs out of the forum. This site is full of stuff that has been tested and they know for sure its totally safe.
