What's the best free AV and Firewall supported by Windows 98?

    I have just been informed by my ISP that they will no longer be supporting the EZ Trust security suite for Windows 98 after June 19th. I must upgrade to Windows 2000 at the minimum or XP or Vista or else delete the EZ Trust programs as it will become non-functional after June 19th. I wanted to know the best AV and Firewall programs that are FREE and are still supported by Windows 98. Thanks.

    You will not have very many choics. Win98 is totally unsupported and as such anything that would even run on it will not be really very current as far as protection since software development companies have stopped supporting older versions of Windows just like Microsoft has.

    You could use the below old firewall (unsupported) but should work:
    Sygate Personal Firewall Free

    Also the below still works with Win98:
    Jetico Personal Firewall v.1

    You can try the below antivirus to see if it still works but it may require more horsepower than your PC can provide:
    Avast! Home Edition
