whats the best spyware/adware removal tool available

    yea the title kind of tells it all, i just reformated my computer so i must know what i can use to save my computer from having to do it again.

    A removal tool only helps you after you are infected. You need blocking too. You need a spyware blocker and you MUST have a firewall. No single tool is really sufficient. They can each find/remove things the others cannot. The other part of the question is also do you want to buy the program or do you want it for free.

    If you want to protect yourself you should work thru the steps in the below thread:

    That will also give you and idea of some items we like.

    i think the best adware and spyware removals are Ad-aware and Spybot, there like the best, i dont even need a virus protector for my computer

    VERY, VERY, VERY, BAD IDEA! Ad-aware and Spybot do not protect against viruses. You should read the below too:

    Get a virus application on your PC now!!

    Do you have a firewall and the other stuff too.

    Ad-Aware and Spybot are not active blockers.
