Whats the difference between Shock wave player

Adobe Flash player and Java?
I have all three,should I delete one? or do I require all three?
Are there any better ones,like Silverlight?

You need neither.

Silverlight is Microsoft's answer to Adobe Flash Player. You'll need it view videos on (some) Microsoft websites. But, it's heading to it's cyber grave.
