which component should I upgrade?

my system:

p4 3.2GHz
1024MB RAM
Ati 850 XT


got an artict cooler on the processor and replaced the videocard with a Salman alu cooler set.

If I run a game like Black and White 2, the game tends to run slower if I get further in the game (when you created a large metropolis). Also some other new games like F.E.A.R. tend to shock a little. Both played on 1024*768, low anti aliasing and high quality.

can I help this by adding more RAM? like adding 1GB extra? Could I help it by changing/adding something else?

Turn the quality down to medium then see how it runs.
Also, do you have any other programs running when you're gaming? Try to stop as many processes as you can, such as msn messenger, keyboard's configurations etc.

 

Also, 2Gb of memory won't make much of a difference vs. 1Gb of memory.

 

might try turning off antialiasing altogether
