white screen "please wait while connection is being established"

my girlfriends sisters hp laptop 32 bit has a white screen saying"please wait while connection is being established ive read the other threads on this issue but they can do one thing i cant... and that is in the command prompt of the system recovery tools when i try to access my flash drive to run FRST.exe i get "the subsystem needed to support the image type is not present"

any help would be appreciated

 

well i ran windows defender offline booted off a usb stick and now i can get on to the computer but all icons and windows 7 themes are missing, i cant access regedit cause its been disabled.. do u know how to fix that?
