Have a PC here that needs a memory upgrade, I have downloaded Everest Free Edition onto the machine and it is reporting that the PC takes DDRSD RAM PC2700...but Crucial is tellin' me it's DDR PC2700 ..not a whole lotta difference I know...but I don't want to make any stupid mistakes here before forking out on non compatible RAM.

How can I be absoultely certain about this before purchase...or...do I just trust Everest? :)

    Thanks

All memory is SDRAM, just like all cars are vehicles.

SDRAM = Syncronous Dynamic Random Access Memory

Your computer takes DDR SDRAM, which means you want Double Data Rate SDRAM. So the difference is just in the label, much in the same way I refer to my 1994 Nissan as either "my car", or "my Pathfinder".

    Makes sense? :)
