Wi-Fi picks up router but can't connect

    Firstly thank you to anyone who has the time to look at this and for having an effeminate amount of patience.

    I am trying to connect to my Netgear router through my laptop. Following guides etc I am now able to pick up my router through network connections but it won't connect to it. I have no internet connection either (on laptop).

    I am running windows sp3 and would appreciate any help.
