Just recently my computer started doing weird things. Desktop Icons keep flickering and mouse pointer looks like its trying do do a raid commericial. Yesterday I downloaded a file called 383-ide.exe and it put 78 desktop icons on my screen. I think I'm having a major problem. Running windows xp with McAfee virus scand & firewall. I'm a very uneducated user so please don't get upset if I sound stupid. I will post this log file.

You had better start doing some more research. Most of the items you are recommending to be deleted are valid pieces of software that the user may or may not want to have running. Many of them may not be required for proper operation but that choice should be left to the end user. Present the info in that form so that it is not just assumed to be some form of malware.

    A couple of examples:

    - PS2.EXE is a Multimedia Keyboard companion on HP computers.
If this is prevented from starting, then some keyboard functionality will be lost. The user may require that functionality. You cannot just tell them to delete it.

    - igfxtray.exe - Intel graphics system tray icon that gets installed with the drivers for onboard VGA cards based on the Intel 81x graphics chip set. Double-clicking the icon allows you to quickly change the display resolution, save your current display scheme, or configure your onboard graphics card. You can also configure keyboard hotkeys; shortcuts are handled by another background task called HKCMD. You can access the same features through the "Intel Graphics Technology" icon in the Control Panel.

Again just two examples but the most important fact is that they are not malware and you are not giving the user the choice of what they may need. You presented it like they must be removed because they are a problem when they are not.
