They are not major issues. They are just JUNK that most people don't need. We always remove Viewpoint since it is considered foistware (software installed without your permission and that constantly tries to reinstall even though you don't want it). Also newer versions are starting to be considered adware. Out of literally tens of thousands of people who have come here for help, only one ever said they actually used Viewpoint and even he used it rarely.

WildTangent (also more junk now associated with AOL too) is not technically considered spyware, but it does have built in components to update itself and gather certain information about your computer system.

So while the decision is really yours in the end, we recommend uninstalling especially if you are not going to use it.
