wildtangent won't go away

    I have run all of the scans as suggested. It cleaned up an awful lot of junk however spybot continues to pick up wildtangent. Even after it shows it is removed I will reboot and recan and it shows up again. All other scans now show up clean.

    Should I run hijack this and post the log file?

    Where is Spybot finding it? Do you have the log from Spybot that shows what it finds?

    Make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

    I ran spybot one more time after a reboot to find the location and this time it came up clean. It had been in a java directory. One of the last things I did was to remove a yahoo toolbar. Maybe that took care of it.
