This is the motherboard I am thinking of buying. I need a new mobo because at present I have two 512mb sticks of RAM and two 256mb sticks of RAM which I am hoping will all fit onto the same mobo, giving me 1.5gb altogether (spread out among 4 RAM slots).

I haven't been able to find a motherboard which allows this up until now and that's why I am wondering whether this mobo can do it or not.

    It says:

2 x 184-pin DDR DIMM socket support up to 2 GB
2 x 240-pin DDR DIMM socket support up to 2 GB

But when looking at the picture of the motherboard, all 4 RAM slots look the same length/size.

Though the slots look the same they are not. there are tabs that prevent the wrong type from being inserted or inserted improperly. If your were to install the correct type into each slot the faster of the two would most likely only run at the speed of the slower if it ran at all. Chances are it will not allow you to run the two different types at the same time.
