Will This Motherboard Support This CPU?

    Please see this link for the CPU support list of this motherboard. There are NO Pentium Ds on this list.

    Even if there were, I would advise against this! Most motherboards that support Dual-core processors have both cores using the same bus, which limits the benefits you can see from a dual core. Therefore, you have to be very careful in your motherboard purchase, especially on a good deal.

    Also, the Pentium D is just that; a pentium processor. It has the same limitations as a single core (power consumption; heat generation) pentium processor. You'd see much better performance, as well as a lower total cost of ownership for a Core2Duo processor, I believe..

    I do agree, the Core 2 Duo would be a much better move, although slightly more expensive. There is a reason why Pentium D's are dirt cheap... theyre bad.
