Win 7 updates freeze up

HP G62... been on here for a thousand years about this... just fishing for any ideas... trying to do updates on Win 7 and I cannot download the last 11 security updates.
BTW... I've uninstalled all malware/virus and disabled windows firewall and it still does it?
I went to Micro-mess and downloaded some suggested 'updater' software and I still can't download the last 11 security updates.
I have an original Mod 29 8 3/8 and I'm just about to use this POS as a target. :-D

 

BTW... I downloaded 'System Update Readiness Tool...

 

I'll get back with you on the SP... I think it download 1 for win 7
Error - 800B0100 - which MS says requires a 'system update readiness tool' which I installed and still couldn't download updates... so now, I have gone deeper and according to MS I need to run Checksur.exe, which I am downloading as I type this.
80073712 I haven't done anything here yet.
I uninstalled all security software and shut off windows firewall.

 

Sorry... S & W original Model 29 44 mag 8 3/8 inch barrel just like Eastwood used in Dirty Harry... I may have to shoot the laptop with this bad boy... lo l

 

Update... No SP1 and it won't install... I sent an email to Micro suft and one Ms. Hu sent me two and one half pages of 'to dos', 90% I've already completed. But, she told me if this doesn't fix it to contact her boss, Mr. Wang..
