Win 8 Or Win 10 System Restore - How To Enable/disable

    Changing System Restore ( System Protection ) settings on Windows 8.x and Windows 10

    The images below are from Win 8 but Win 10 is similar.


    • Open the System window from the Desktop or the Start menu by holding down the Windows Logo key + Pause/Break key. This will bring up the System window seen below. Select the System protection link as highlighted.

    • Now the System Properties form will open as shown below. Select the drive on which you wish to modify System protection and then click the Configure button as highlighted below.

    • Now the System Protection form will open. To Disable or Enable System Protection on the chosen drive, see the appropriate images below and select the correct radio button and then click Apply and then OK.
