Win2K Unofficial SP5

I am attempting to download Win2K Unofficial SP5 with IE 5 but it kills IE every time I try to download it.

I tried to download it in Linux so I could burn it to CD and install from CD but I keep getting redirected to a different download because I'm using Linux. I do not have a more modern version of Windows to use to download it. Any way not to get redirected running Linux or get it to download in Win2K using IE5. Tried installing other browsers including Blackhawk but can't get them to tun in the Win2K I have. Can I get older SPs and work my way up? Are the older ones needed to install SP5.

Note I am running Win2K in Virtualbox.

If you can't download SP5 for Windows 2000 in Internet Explorer 6, try a different browser. Mozilla Firefox 12 is the last version to support Windows 2000.

Since I couldn't get IE6 to install. I may try older Firefox next. Thanks.

 

Install SP 3 first (which is required to install SP 4)

Maybe after that you can install an unofficial SP5.

I installed SP1, 2, 3 , 4 and update rollup 1 when I was running Win 2K.

Got SP5 To install using Firefox 10. Do I need the other service packs or did SP5 wrap them all up? Been a long time since I used Windows and I'm a bit foggy on installing SPs.

 

Service Pack 5 for Windows 2000 is Unofficial.
What is known is it contains 403 hotfixes. Also, it's 237 MB versus 129 MB for SP4. It's probably SP4 + the hotfixes. According to Microsoft, the official service packs for Windows 2000 are cumulative.
