    Hi,

I seem to be getting a Bluescreen ever other day when I start up my pc, after I get the bluescreen the system gets restarted, error gets logged and pc works as normal, however I am at a loss as to what is causing the blue screens, I have posted below my last 2 errors, and hopefully someone can tell what they are at least reference to.

any help or suggestion as to what they could relate will be grateful, only thing I have done recently as suggested by microsoft tech website was wipe and redo the virtual Memory which I did.

could it be possible these are either Hard Drive or Memory related?

anyway any help will be gladly appreciated, thanks

Unfortunately 8E is one of those errors that could be ANYTHING!
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/945658/
    Possible causes listed as:
    hard drive damage
    hardware configuration problems
    incompatible device driver
    incompatible software
So about the only thing it doesn't point to is bad RAM.

I had to deal with this on Tuesday. I suspect it was caused by the keyboard. In this case hardware. I'm only guessing because I swapped out the keyboard and mouse and it worked. I put the old keyboard back and I got the error again. I put the "new" keyboard back with the old mouse and the computer fired up.

sorry for delay in reply, thank you plodr for your response.

Also wanted to do an update on my pc

I have had 3 more blue screens over 2 days:

Even I know all these blue screens arnt a good thing, what puzzles me is that after the initial Blue Screen and after the restart the pc acts normal and can be used as normally would. The system has not has anything changed on it for months, only thing that gets update on it is through the microsoft automatic update. though if anyone can offer suggestions as to what could be the cause I wll be very grateful.

p.s On a Personal note I still think that it is either Memory, Primary HDD or Graphics Card related though some type of confirmation would be good.

    Thank you for reading.

Memory is not mentioned with an 8E error so I think you can rule that out.
Perhaps some piece of hardware is starting to fail.
