Win7 Window Color problem

So I want to change the color of my taskbar, and I have been able successfully before, but now when I click on "Window Color" it takes me to "Window Color and Appearance" and is showing some Win98 - style windows. What am I missing? I was able to do it fine before :S

Your picture shows that you are not using Windows Aero but basic graphics mode. I suggest that you try the Microsoft FixIt solution at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Troubleshoot-problems-with-Windows-Aero

I presume you are using Windows 7 Premium rather Windows 7 Basic edition.

However, it could be a graphics or graphics driver issue but see how the FixIT utility works first.

 

thanks, i realized that last night. I haven't had a chance to switch it yet but I think that will fix it.
