Man, been ages since I've posted on MG.

Anyways, I've been using BitMeter for years to monitor my monthly usage but as of late it's reading way over what my connection speed could have me using, so am looking for an alternative. Double checked with the ISP and they're seeing me using my usual amount too despite BitMeter claiming I smoked my cap back on Nov 5th.

So, can I rely on the Data Usage meter built into Windows 10 instead? Is it pretty accurate for just an overall reading of all inbound and outbound traffic? Or would I be better off finding another separate program like BitMeter?

BitMeter as in your internet download data usage?
I'm not aware of any internet data usage monitor in Windows 10.
Focus on what your ISP contract is.
You can find many good freeware programs on MG that monitor it if you really need that.

Since the July update, Windows 10 has had several "off schedule" updates along with the ones delivered on Patch Tuesday. They've been rather large and if you're metered, they could put you over your data cap.
