Hi all. I have an hp Pavilion 64 bit 4 gigs memory.

It was working great on 10 after I upgraded it about eight months ago or so. Now it takes forever to load or start. Also it freezes allot with firefox browser or IE browser. Or just doing tasks. Now I have tried so many things. I have tried to do tips for windows 10 to help speed it up and load quickly. I have ran virus scans like Mawarebytes and Super antispyware . Adwcleaner. Cleaning the pc ect.

I am having surgery on Thursday and would love to clear this up before then. I would so appreciate your time to help me resolve this issue.

Make sure any plugins you have (such as Adobe Flash Player) are up to date. Then within Firefox > Addons > Plugins have it set to 'ask me to activate'.
In start ups only allow those actually needed - most are not needed at start up.
Any program that can be started when needed should not be in start ups.
Use CCleaner Slim at least weekly to clear out junk.
Other than that, without seeing your system in detail it's hard to say more.

Yes thanks I have done that. However there is something going on. It should never take so long to startup.

How much free space do you have on your C drive?

I suggest you post a clear focussed screen shot of all your start ups.
Also, I would get hold of AutoRuns
and see in detail what runs.

My C Drive hardly has anything on it. I have shut down all startup programs.

I cannot open zip files so I cannot open or unzip AutoRuns

Yes you can - it's simple.
Download the file to a new folder wherever it is convenient, your downloads folder or to the desktop.
Open the folder, right click on autoruns.zip and choose 'extract all'.

But you still need to reply to the two requests:
    1. How much FREE space do you have on your main drive
2, Post a focusssed screenshot of your start ups.

Sorry I missed your replies about hard drive.
On start ups, there will always be start ups that you must enable. So simply stopping them all is not the answer to any problem, and may even place your system at risk.
Please do what is requested - show a simple screen shot of the start ups.
Here is a guide to taking screen shots:

On start up I stopped all of the ones I did not need. I allowed for anti virus one to stay on. Like I said, I went through the guide on how to keep you windows 10 running fast tricks and tips. I am pretty good with computers and know quite a bit. So I did stuff like cleaning out temp files as well and cleaning my c drive as well as Optimizing my c disk. So I went through all the basic stuff and ran scans like I said above Malware Bytes ect.

Your symptoms are consistent with a hard disk in the early stages of failing. Have you checked it for bad sectors?

I meant ignore 14, not 13. I only put 14 in because otherwise the cat's post was ####################8888888888888888888888 etc :D

I did a test on the hard drive it said it was fine Then I ran an error check and it fixed them.

You have an AVG (anti-virus) process listed in screenshot 2. Very bad. It means (whether disabled in start up or not) that you have TWO AV programs installed side by side. That is always a bad idea.
You must urgently remove all traces of AVG using its official uninstaller - 'AVG Remover' from here:
    http://www.avg.com/gb-en/utilities
Restart your system after using the tool.

I have no idea where you looked but there is no AVG on this system only Avast.

Do as you please but I suggest you do the following: Read my post (#19) again and see that it tells you where the avg entry appears, and then look at your screenshot 2 AGAIN and see 'avguirnx' and then search for that exact term on the internet.
    It is AVG.
Anyone elsewhere not telling you the same thing indicates they don't know what they are talking about.
    Good luck

Re-read your answer in post #6 - totally not the case
With great respect, if that was the case you would know how to read your own start ups and how to find out what each one is, and you would be able to read and properly understand posts that explain simple things.

I wonder if she had already started controlling her startups using MSConfig?

I too wonder what the OP did at the start to fix the problem but only told us "Now I have tried so many things. I have tried to do tips for windows 10 to help speed it up and load quickly" but unless a person seeking help lists the actions already taken it's meaningless.
