    I am pretty sure my computer is infected. It is a Dell XPS with Windows 7. All of a sudden I am unable to run any programs, even in safe mode. So, I can't run any antivirus software such as Malware Bytes. I tried system restore but it didn't help. I was able to run Farbar Recovery Scan tool. The log is attached.
    Any help is very greatly appreciated!

    There are no signs of malware in this log. The recent changes show that you just installed Bitdefender. Is this when your problems began? Try uninstalling it.

    Thank you. The problems began all of a sudden. I uninstalled Bitdefender.
    I used Disk Cleanup to delete any of the files that windows suggested. Disk Defragmenter says that the drive is 0% fragmented.

    After startup the hard drive keeps running like it's trying to do something. I can't get any other program to run. Anything else you could suggest trying?

    Update: Currently running Chkdsk.
    Will then try a clean boot to see if I can figure out what Startup item seems to be an issue.

    You're welcome.
    Only other suggestion I would make is to try one of your System Restore Points. I know you said you tried it but try again. Try more than one.. Your log show the below
    Code:
    ==================== Restore Points  =========================
    Restore point made on: 2013-06-09 08:35:32

    There is nothing malware related in the FRST log so there is nothing for us to do as far as malware removal. At least not based on solely this one log.
