Windows 8.1 explorer crashes when opening random folders

Hello. My windows explorer crashes when i try to access some folders. In addition, it's never the same folder, this appears to be a random thing (should I have posted this in the malware section?). Meaning: Yesterday I could not access project A, today project A is fine, but the crash occurs on project B folder.

Note the following:

• I can still access the files via software open function. This is how I am getting by, but it is really annoying.

• The folder I work on is in a different partition than the one the OS is installed. So far, I have not had any problems with My PC/My Docs folders

• The folder I work on and which presents the problem is being synchronized to an ASUS WebStorage service account. The account is currently +/- 70% full. I've had the account for months now, but the problem started only this week.

• Windows 8.1 Single Language, 64 bits

• AMD A10-4600M APU w/ Radeon HD Graphics @ 2.30 GHz

• 12.0 GB RAM
