windows 98 licence key?

Hi, A friend of mine who i am trying to help, thought she would clean up her nanas pc, my friend really doesn't no much, but she said she run disk cleanup and deleted alot of stuff, but since doing the things shes done when they went to turn the pc on windows 98 is asking for a product key or license key, they cant go any further, they dont have the windows 98 disk and they don't no the key. As it was an old work pc that was given to her .Is there anyway around this, her nana is really:mad and missing her casino game. lol.

 

Have you looked on the case for the COA "Certificate of Authenticity"? It should be on the case somewhere, this will have your product key if it's still there.

 

I had this problem and I just guessed what it was until I got the right one. Could be worth having a go.
