    Hi folks,

Can someone enlighten me as to where Windows (XP home) stores or keeps it's archived files?

Do they have a specific extension or naming convention?

    Thanks much

    Hi

May need to expand on what archived files you maybe refering to?

Guessing if System Restore files which are kinda like an archive of your PC, are kept in the System Volume Information Folder (hidden folder so need to unhide files ~ Tools > Folder Options > View and choose Show all Hidden files and Folders and also untick Hide Protected Operating System files)

go into C: and open System Volume Information ( as its a core system folder you will have to take ownership of it)

    Files are System Files.
