I'm rebuilding a computer and using a harddrive that had previously been an add-on Linux drive. Grub was installed on a different drive computer booted off that GRUB. I'm trying to reuse this harddrive on a new computer. I can install Linux just fine, but Windows can't find the drive.

Just as a side note, I don't have a floppy drive. I've tried installing FreeDos to do an fdisk /mbr, but that can't find the harddrive either.

    Any suggestions? Thanks.

I would trying going to the HD manufacturer's site and download the utility disk for your model. The program usually has an option to "prepare disk for OS installation". I think this is what you need to do before Windows installation disk will recognize it.
