Windows don't boot: c0000135 %hs is missing from your computer

    Hey guys, I have a laptop that after the Windows logo shows me a BSOD with the following message: c0000135 The program can't start because %hs is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
    I tried to start it in safe mode and restore to a date before the problem without success. I think it's a malware problem and I made this FRST log in recovery mode.

    Can someone help me?

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    Your problem may not be due to malware. You appear to have a Windows System file missing.

    Let's see if we can find a replacement on your PC to restore it from.

    Boot to System Recovery Options and run FRST again.
    Type the below bolded text in the edit box after "Search:".

    sechost.dll

    Then click the Search button.

    It will make a log (Search.txt) on the flash drive. Please attach this log to your next reply. (See How to attach)

    You're welcome. Okay let's try the below.


    Download this >> View attachment fixlist.txt


    Save fixlist.txt to your flash drive.
    • You should now have both fixlist.txt and FRST64.exe on your flash drive.
    Now reboot back into the System Recovery Options as you did previously.
    Run FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait.
    The tool will make a log on the flashdrive (Fixlog.txt).
    Please attach this to your next message. (See how to attach)

    Now see if you can boot into normal Windows.
