Windows Explorer - copy/paste files get Program Error msg

Starting new thread per chaslang:


I'm having problem with Windows Explorer. Getting a Program Error (explorer.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program.) message when trying to move/copy/cut or paste files. I've been having it for some time. And now its become a real nuisance. Per chaslang's suggestion posted in a similar thread: I downloaded and ran the suggested GetRunKey. Due to the warning on their website, I was afraid to download the BlackLightBeta.

The GetRunKey log is attached in a previous 'Window Explorer problems' thread posted on June 23, 2006. I am unable to attach it to another thread (even when changing the name or saving to another folder).

My Computer info:
OS: MS Windows 2000 Pro 5.0.2195 SP 4
CPU: Intel Pentium IIIE, 800Mhz
System Memory: 128 MB

I must add I do have an older PC but again, I have been having this problem for some time now.
