   just frustrated Private E-2

   I am having a big problem with windows installer in Windows XP. I tried to uninstall a copy of Microsoft Office xp small business that I had downloaded from a cd, but it didn't completely uninstall! And now the windows installer keeps popping up(driving me crazy) telling me to insert cd to fininsh install, but it's UNREADABLE and I can't get the partial uninstall deleted! HELP!!!

   What Service Pack is your Windows XP at?
   
   What I would try first is to use the Windows Installer Clean-up Util HERE and look in the list of Office XP and uninstall it from there.
