windows media player error code 0xc000001d

Hi,
when I try to play a DVD on media player 10 or 11, I receive error code 0xc000001d and media player shuts down.
can anyone help me.

Windows Media Player is generally not very DVD friendly. An alternative media player will probably allow you to play DVDs, but that doesn't fix WMP. What version of Windows are you running? Have you installed all updates? It could be a corrupt DVD decoder. Download and run the KLite Codec Tool (link below). It scans for broken codecs and repairs/removes them. Then install a new DVD decoder (available in any codec pack).

Thank you DLB! I have a lesson plan for my students for tomorrow where I'm going to show them a video and my dvd player was not working. I used the codec pack and the video works now....Thanks.... PILARCITA
