What would cause Windows Media Player to start a video clip, with both audio/video playing fine, then sudden the video goes black and the audio keeps playing?
I have installed the latest XPCodecs and it played a lil longer, then repeated the above.
The video clip plays just fine on several other computers using Windows Media Player.

Have you tried playing the clip on another player eg winamp, real player, vlc ect.. ?

It could be a video card driver issue?

Thank you for the replies. As for trying other media players, no I haven't, as it works just fine on other computers, using WMP.
As for the video card.. The video is fine all the time exceot after a short period of time watching these short clips. I am sure if the video card was bad, it would turn the whole screen black, opposed to just the viewing field of WMP.

Try going to WMP tools->options->performance and turning the video accelation all the way down to 0. If that works, try slowly turning up the settings or going to "advanced" and checking boxes until you find an advanced setting that causes the problem. Just an idea. :)
