Windows Media player restarting

    I have recently upgraded to windows xp pro and I have a problem playing mpeg or video files on windows media player 9. When I try to play it, it restarts my computer. I have no problems playing mp3s, only with video files.

    The error report in event viewer says something like this:-

    wuauclt (240) The database engine 5.01.2600.0000 started.
    wuaueng.dll (240) SUS20ClientDataStore: The database engine started a new instance (0).
    wuaueng.dll (240) SUS20ClientDataStore: The database engine stopped the instance (0).
    wuauclt (240) The database engine stopped.
    wuauclt (356) The database engine 5.01.2600.0000 started.
    wuaueng.dll (356) SUS20ClientDataStore: The database engine started a new instance (0).
    wuaueng.dll (356) SUS20ClientDataStore: The database engine stopped the instance (0).
    wuauclt (356) The database engine stopped.

    Any ideas???
