    Any thoughts anyone?

I know Flash Player Update.exe is not necessary, accidently re-added it to after update Adobe Flash Player recently. But any ideas why when the blasted thing tries to run itself, the nuisance popup for Windows No Disk error message incessantly pops up? And yes, Device Manager shows an missing USB device that wasn't properly shutdown & safely removed, but I hadn't used one recently.

Had this prob a while ago & just killed FP Update.exe in msconfig but for the life of me I can't put 2 & 2 together as to why it's causing the popup!

All the usual scans (Spybot, SAS, MBAM ect) appear to be good to go.

    Windows XP SP3 MCE
    Latest Adobe Flash 11.3.300.265
running non-admin account (rarely use my admin acct so don't know if it happens there)

    thx!

You need to go into Control Panel | Task Scheduler, and disable scheduled task FlashPlayerUpdateService.exe
