Can someone tell me what the difference is between the OEM and retail versions of windows XP? I am planning on building a system next year and I heard that windows XP is not going to be sold to consumers after january. I am not ready to make the Vista jump yet. So as I was checking out prices and the OEM version is much cheaper, so I am wondering what the difference is besides the retail packaging and the price. Thank you in advance.

No warranty support, and the XP license requires hardware to be bought with it, in which case, thats perfect for you.

The differences are only license deep. The software is identical otherwise.
