Windows phone only has sound with headphones

Hi everyone

I have recently updated my windows phone and now, my phone can only play sound through the headphones or if I plug speakers into it.

I have a Samsung Omnia 7. My friend has the same but not the same problem so not sure what it could be

Did it play music through the speakers before the update? How old is the phone?

Hi

Do you know what update version was installed? was it 7.10.7740 ("Mango")

Try an phone reboot first.

But you could do a roll-back of the software to previous version (instruction for roll-back in link below) and then unplug the phone, then plug it back in and re-do the update.

If you go into the device manager, do you have any devices with a yellow exclamation point next to it? Also, if you list the version of the HD manager you have, I'll check it against mine at home later.

Also, have you tried reinstalling it? If I remember correctly, if you run the installer with the driver/manager already installed, it actually uninstalls the driver/manager, forcing you to re-run the installer a second time.

There are no drivers on the phone, there is no device manager per say, and there is no HD manager, due to this is a Windows mobile OS on a Cellular handset.
