Windows Picture And Fax Viewer --> One tif won't open?!?!

Hey There!

Got a weird one today! We have 2 users on XP Pro who cannot open one tif file using Windows Picture And Fax Viewer. They get the 'No Preview Available' message. All other tif files work well, and the same tif file opens on other machines under their windows login credentials. So, I have it isolated to these two machines. On these machines I've tried:

1. Running CCleaner to clean out temp files
2. Creating a local copy (file is on a network drive)
3. Running 'regsvr32 shimgvw.dll'
4. Creating a copy on a working machine, and opening it on the affected one.

Nothing has worked, so here I am, hoping that a major geek can help me out. I'm open to all ideas. Thanks in advance!

 

I assume that this .tif file is located within their profile? Or is it located on the local machine?

If located on the local machine, have you tried recopying that one .tif file? Also, is their another viewer installed on that machine that may open it?

 

Well, the file was on a network drive, but I created a local copy. I've tried copying a known good version from my machine to theirs, but the problem remains.

As a workaround, I have installed Irfanview on their computers, and it is able to open it.
