Windows start failure

Hi guys, This may get a little long, short version is Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 on a clean reboot on a reformatted hard drive. As I load my Hardware devices I lose my DVD player which requires a restart,then, on restart I could lose the CD-RW which has led to Windows appearing as a dullversion of the loading screen but does not load. When this all started we had 3 new products in shot succession an UPS (which seemed to be the problem until today as I am now plugged into mains) a new PCI 4+1 pci usb adaptor and a set of USB Pedals.

Today as I added the hardware the BVRP software for the Spirit Magnum V 9.2 external modem seems to be the digitally unsigned driver fault that started the mess I'm in now which is currently getting ready to reformat the C drive yet again confused
