Windows Update Service is missing + Windows Security center service cant be started

    Dell XPS L502X Windows 7 Home Premium service pack 1
    I am working on a Windows 7 Dell XPS L502X laptop (64-bit Home Premium Service Pack 1)


    The Windows Update Service is missing from the services list, on running command services.msc

    Also, getting a message Windows Security center service cant be started.

    Follow all instructions in READ & RUN ME FIRST, then post the logs in the malware forum.
    It's likely that those service entries have been wiped by a ZeroAccess infection.

    Do not use RogueKiller as mentioned above unless you know what you are doing. You are most likely infected so follow the first response. If you know you are clean, Windows Repair should restore it:

    There is a reason we have a malware forum. It is so people do not run tools they shouldn't be running and risk screwing up their computers.

    Please do not link to malware tools for people to use. The OP has been directed to our removal procedures...leave it at that.
