windows user account wiped out

    How this issue came to be isn't necessary, I hope. I am not able to login to my only account on my PC. Running Windows XP Home SP3. I need a program that will allow me to create a new user account, with or without a password. I assume that it will have to be a DOS program, as I am not able to access Windows. I am ashamed to say that I will need instructions on how this is done. :-o

    Have you tried safe mode (F8) at boot? It should give you an Administrator account to log on to.

    safe mode does not work. Windows still asks for user name and password. which does not work. I need to get in and create a user account and password without going into Windows first
