Hello all, Great site! I hope to contribute after I get this sorted out.... My laptop windows system is blank, no response from Vista whatsoever....I boot up and windows genuine bullsh*t forces me to validate, however, nothing else works. No desktop , No ctrl alt del, NOTHING.

I try to verify but mozilla wont respond and ms sites will not give me download link. I even tried external sites for the link and cannot download the WGAplugininstaller.exe or the other one... I am running a genuine system and it is absolutely frustrating and annoying .

I find it crazy that if in fact, microsoft is disabling my system bc of this, it is unfair....next thing we know Skynet will be up and running.....

Please help me , And I do apologize, I did stfa but am on empty at this point.

Hi Rosati, when was the last time you tried that link? I just clicked onto it, and I got the box asking me if I want to "RUN, SAVE, or CANCEL......" Looks like the servor is back up and running..

On your MS forum post, it says the following has failed:

OK, don't get your feathers ruffled yet, it looks to me, like you are logged in as "Administrator" of your computer? Try to change that, to just you, not administrator. then, run the tool again...

If that doesn't work, I would copy all of that, and send it to Microsoft.. Must be a glitch somewhere..... Can you get into windows update site? If you can, even with another computer, send that info to yourself, then click onto more help in the windows update site, and follow the promps to e-mail your problem. I have always had good luck with that myself... Hey, they DO make mistakes too...

OK, hang on now, we will have to get some Vista people to help now.. blank is not good.. Can you get into the windows update website, and click help, and follow the promps for e-mail support? They should be aware of this, as it does look genuine, and you have the CD. Especially since everything else was validated... I'll see if I can find someone who knows more about vista for you.. Hang on, OK?

Do you have another machine that you can download those files from? If so, save to CD-ROM or USB thumbdrive, then install on yours.
You may have to call Microsoft and get a new key code to re-activate.Had that happen once when a "cleaner" removed something it shouldn't.(Before I learned better).

I noticed in your first post you were using Mozzila, have you used IE to try updating as MS does not like using third party browsers.
