    Beware! Downloaded this but was surprised to find out that this is NOT freeware; it is really shareware.:(

    That scan is Free, all it does it check your PC for known Microsoft patches and alerts you to what you maybe missing from updates ( you just click the MS number under Security Bulletins to go directly to the MS page for the download ) , this app is updated each month for the new released fixes from MS, the Protector Plus 2007 button which is listed on the app links to a trial of their full security product and that is shareware or 30days free trail.
