Windows XP "Ding" on startup

    When i reboot or start my laptop now, at some point in the process i hear 5 'WIndows XP Ding' sounds. The sound name is the one in the sound section of the control panel. It seems that the sound relates to a 'default beep' in the sound section.

    Is there some way to determine what is causing this and if something isn't loading or working properly?

    Any suggestijons would be greatly appreciated.
