Windows XP Loads Slow, Computer Freezes up, H/D Light Stays On All The Time

    My computer loads slow, the harddrive light indicator stays on all the time, unable tostart other programs. I ran Spy Bot and Ad Aware, I did a System Restore to a week ago, same problems, please help

    Is the problem still there in Safe Mode? Are you loading up any programs at startup? Have you tried MSCONFIG to do any trouble-shooting by disabling everything and then starting them up one at a time until you find the culprit?
