My PC crashes at irregular intervals (2 days in a row then fine for a week). I followed the instructions for viewing the dump information and I'm including it here.

Apparently the problem is with ntoskrnl.exe which from what I've gathered is the kernel image for Windows NT. I Googled it but I couldn't find anything relevant with my particular problem. Could someone help me with this? Thanks!

Get a copy of XP SP3 or with SP3 slipstreamed and run

    the sytem file checker

    Start>run>typein

    cmd

type the following into the black dialog box that opens

    sfc /scannow

Notice the double n in scannow

    Type exit when finished.

Do not try this without an SP3 disk.

Thanks plodr, but how do I go about actually changing it (if it needs changing)?
