Windows 7 no longer uses Outlook Express. I've signed up with Windows Live but I believe it is web-based, and I liked having my email "on" my PC. Is there a good email program I can install or am I wrong about Windows Live? Maybe I just need to get the hang of it?

You are wrong about Windows Live Mail. It is a POP email client, meaning it downloads your messages to your hard drive; in other words, it is not webmail.

Thanks usafveteran. I was assuming. I saw the Hotmail association, and have had no time since getting this PC to do much with it.

@da.bell Thanks for the link. I have already downloaded, but that's about as far as I got.
