My Norton Anti-virus programs keeps telling me it has found the infostealer virus on my computer and that it cannot remove it. The file name or whatever you call it is c:\windows\system32\Winsbp32.dll which I can find but have no clue how to remove it safely myself and my 2003 Nortom Systemworks program won't let me contact or send this to Norton. I've just recently renewed my virus protection with Norton.

I tried the Norton advice which was to turn off system restore and scan in safe mode but that didn't do anything. I still have the virus and a warning from my symantec program.

My Spysweeper program also has the Winlogonhook in quarantine but I can't seem to get the program to remove it permanently. I emailed Spysweeper and they advised me to download their latest version, which of course I already have and so wondering if anyone can help me on here please.

Okay, I did all the cleaning etc stuff on the link provided. Now I don't know how to give you a log or where it is supposed to come from. Sorry I'm not conversant with this.

    Thank you!

    A really exciting thing happened!

I took Norton off and downloaded AVG and it cleaned up both trojans and found another that it cleaned too. So looks like I don't need any help!

    Thanks anyway!
